This also allowed factories to be located anywhere because before, water and wind were unreliable and you had to be located near a source.

InMuhammad, an officer of the Ottoman Army, created an independent Egyptian state by seizing power. He modernized the army, set up a public school system, and helped create small but successful jobs for more people such as boat building, refining sugar, and printing textiles.
